“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
— Deuteronomy 8:18

We live in a world that constantly tells us to believe in ourselves.

Work harder.
Build your name.
Create your own success.
Become self-made.

But Scripture reminds us of something deeper:

We are not the source. God is.

Deuteronomy 8:18 tells us that it is God who gives us the power to acquire wealth. He gives us the ability to work, create, build, lead, solve problems, recognize opportunities, and use the talents He has placed within us.

Our gifts are not accidental.

Our abilities are not self-created.

And what we have should never cause us to forget Who gave it to us.

God Is Greater Than What We Can See

Isaiah 40:28 says:
